What is OPAT?

A state-funded program, Oklahoma Parents As Teachers (OPAT) is free and voluntary for ALL families with children from birth to age three. OPAT supports parents as their children's first teachers in building foundations for living and learning.

The program is designed to provide parents an opportunity to enhance their child's development in all areas:

Your school can help

School partnership should begin when learning begins: at birth. This is the philosophy of Oklahoma Parents As Teachers because parents are their children's first and most influential teachers.

Your school is anxious to work with you as partners to help each child grow and develop to his or her maximum potential. Feel free to call your local school for information.
