2025 Board Recognition Month
As we recognize January as National Board Recognition Month, I want to take a moment to express our deep appreciation for the dedicated service of our Board of Education members. This month provides us with a vital opportunity to spotlight the invaluable contributions made by these individuals who work tirelessly to ensure that our schools provide the highest quality education for all our students.
Our Board of Education plays a critical role in shaping the future of our school district. Their leadership, commitment, and vision help guide our educational policies, develop budgets, and create a safe and engaging learning environment for our students and staff. Each board member brings unique perspectives and expertise that enrich our decision-making process and help us navigate the challenges we face as an educational community.
The men and women serving Perkins-Tryon Public Schools and their years of service are President Jessie Johnson, 4 years; Vice President Becky Reedy, 3 years; Clerk Member Darrick Rains, 2 years; Member Zach Van Horn, 2 years; and Member Brent DeMuth 1 year.
In closing, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our Board of Education members for their commitment to excellence in education. Together, we can continue to build a vibrant educational community that inspires and empowers our students and staff to reach their full potential.
